Hey everyone! My name is Alex Sanchez and I’m thrilled to be part of the most comprehensive and extensive minor league prospect site on the internet.

Baseball has been a passion for me since I can remember. I played ball through college and continued to write and follow the sport after my playing days were over. I still manage to get out on the diamond once in while, but I simply cannot get enough of the sport. I have grown a healthy(ish) obsession for dynasty baseball leagues, and even created some podcasts for leagues I have been in. I’m here to write and help as much as I possibly can, because I literally could talk about baseball all day long!

Currently, I teach English and History at the middle school level. I have a degree in History and Exercise Science: Athletic Coaching, from U.C. Santa Barbara, and a Master’s Degree in Sports Administration. I have taken a fond appreciate to fine cooking as well, whether it be trying Michelin restaurants in Europe or trying to create my own dishes as home. I have a two year old daughter who is just about the coolest person in the world.

I’ll be covering the San Diego Padres minor league system along with Eric Killian. I’ll also be filling a super utility role after that, providing all sorts of minor league coverage including some “At The Ballpark” reports from the West Coast!

Ask me anything! I want to grow and expand through my work so I am always open for discussion and debate!

My goal is to provide an unique perspective when it comes to baseball so that readers can have the information and insight, as well as a bold and progressive analysis. I trust the analytics, but I also trust my eyes when I see the player perform on the field. I don’t want to regurgitate the same, old information but rather I want to give my opinion that is based on research and well-developed thought. Baseball is a game on intricacies and delicate balances and I want to explore every facet that I can. Here on Prospects1500 I will give you the inside scoop on the prospects so that you get to know who they are before everyone else. I won’t always be right, but I can promise my logic and dedication will be sound. Feel free to reach out to discuss and debate and let’s get to prospecting!
