Welcome back to another edition of Arizona Fall League Prospects of the Week at Prospects1500! We’re back on our usual Monday through Sunday schedule and ready to roll! On our third edition of the 2019 Arizona Fall League POTW we’ve got a couple of familiar names with some newcomers as well. Please note that I’ve included stats from the Fall Stars Game this past Saturday the 12th in the stat lines seen below.
Hitters
Royce Lewis, SS, MIN
7/13, 2 2B, 1 HR, 1 SB .538/.625/.923/1.548
The 2017 #1 overall pick had himself a week! Holy bananas. Including the Fall Stars game, where he homered, Royce hit .538 with a .923 slugging percentage and even managed to steal a base. Talk about stuffing the stat sheet. Royce now boasts a 1.069 OPS overall on the short season, good enough for 3rd among players with at least 30 ABs. And did I mention he was named the Fall Stars Game MVP? Lewis is on fire right now and his stock is on the rise once more!
Who else but Royce Lewis?

Brandon Marsh, OF, LAA
6/14, 3 2B, 1 3B, 2 SB .429/.467/.786/1.252
Welcome to the list, Brandon! Marsh dazzled this past week, tallying 4 extra base hits en route to 11 total bases and 2 steals. The soon-to-be 22 year-old is climbing the AFL leaderboards and ranks just behind the aforementioned Lewis in OPS at 1.058. Marsh is a toolsy outfielder with both power and speed and it’s currently on display out in Arizona.

Greg Deichmann, OF, OAK
4/14, 1 3B, 1 HR, 1 SB .286/.333/.643/.976
Mr. Deichmann is back again after another productive week. Though he only had 4 hits, he managed 9 total bases, including a homer, and tacked on a steal for good measure. Deichmann leads the AFL in home runs and total bases after 3 weeks and is showing no signs of slowing down. This is exactly the type of showing Greg needed to rebound after a less appealing regular season.

Pitchers
Glenn Otto, RHP, NYY
4IP, 1 H, 2 BB, 0 ER, 3 K
Glenn is back on the list after another impressive outing. The Yankee prospect dialed up another 4 shutout innings while allowing just 3 baserunners and striking out 3. His ERA is down to 1.20 over 15 innings in the AFL with 12 Ks. He’s really stepping it up after a good season in the Florida State League.

Sterling Sharp, RHP, WAS
5IP, 2 H, 2 BB, 0 ER, 3 K
Sterling Sharp makes his Arizona Fall League POTW debut with 5 scoreless innings this past week. Sharp allowed just 2 hits and 2 walks while striking out 3 in the dominating effort. In 19 innings, Sterling has given up just 3 earned runs for a 1.42 ERA to go along with 17 strikeouts. In fact, Sharp gave up all 3 of those runs in 1 outing — the other 4 have been 15 combined shutout innings.

Connor Seabold, RHP, PHI
5IP, 2 H, 1 BB, 1 ER, 4 K
Connor makes his return to the POTW list this week, too, with another fantastic outing. He allowed 1 earned run with 2 hits and a walk over 5 innings and sat down 4 via the strikeout. Seabold has a miniscule 1.06 ERA in 17 AFL innings and has struck out 22 batters — good enough for 3rd in the league. He’s making a big statement so far this fall.
