Each week during the Minor League Baseball season we pick the hitting and pitching prospects from each level (Triple-A, Double-A, High-A, Low-A, and Rookie ball) who, in our opinion, had the best week. Jake Berry and Scott Greene award their Prospects of the Week hitters and pitchers for each level, while also presenting other names at each level that are just as deserving of POTW honors. Feel free to reply in the comments with any player who deserves to be mentioned that may not have made our cut.
Any issues with this week’s POTW? Did we miss anyone deserving? Hit us up and set us straight!
As always, tweet us (@Prospects1500, @BerrysBraves, and @Scotty_Ballgame) when you see a great performance that warrants consideration for Prospect of the Week. Enjoy, and make sure you’re keeping an eye out for these prospects in your dynasty leagues.

PITCHER: Sean Boyle, RHP (New York Yankees NR)
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders(1 GS, W, 7 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 6 K)
Boyle has flown through the Yankees farm system this year and threw a seven inning no hitter in his first Triple-A start. Not bad for a guy that hadn’t gone more than 4.1 innings in a game yet this season.
Connor Seabold, RHP (Boston Red Sox #13)
Worcester Red Sox (1 G, W, 7 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 9 K)
HITTER: Bryson Stott, SS (Philadelphia Phillies #2)
Reading Fightin Phils (6 G, .571/.593/.810, 12 H, 5 2B, 5 RBI, 4 BB)
It is not very often that we see a POTW with no homers, but Stott led the level in hits and added five two-baggers.
One thing that’s kind of flown under the radar recently:
Bryson Stott has heated back up.
He’s slashing .291/.353/.480 with 8 homers in 65 games with Double-A Reading, and is on an outrageous hot streak of late.
His last 19 games:
73 AB, .397/.432/.658, 3 HR, 1.090 OPS

Vancouver Canadians (6 G, .619/.667/1.048, 13 H, 2 HR, 3 2B, 6 RBI, 5 BB, SB)
Horwitz was a hit machine last week for Vancouver. The first baseman is riding a 12 game hit streak and started last week with two back to back fur hit games.
Andy Yerzy, C/1B (Arizona Diamondbacks #46)
Hillsboro Hops (5 G, .353/.450/1.235, 5 HR, 6 RBI, 6 H)
PITCHER: Xzavion Curry, RHP (Cleveland Indians #14)
Lake County Captains (1 GS, W, 5 IP, 10 K, 1 H, 0 BB, 0 R)
Clean sweep for the Captains after a couple of outstanding outings from two players with Georgia ties.
Wow! #Indians 23yr old RHP prospect Xzavion Curry was almost perfect tonight in his start for (High A) Lake County vs Dayton striking out 10 over his 5.0 innings allowing only 1 hit.

The 19 year old hit safely in each of his games last week and he collected multiple hits in four of his five contests. His hot stretch over the last couple of weeks just earned him a promotion to High-A Greenville.

I reside in Carrollton, Georgia and love everything baseball. I graduated from the University of West Georgia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management. I have a passion for the minor leagues and have high hopes of visiting as many minor league parks as I can. I enjoy the statistical side of the game, especially sabermetrics. I am also an avid baseball card collector and fantasy baseball player.
