Ryan Palencer (AAA – International League)

I’m glad to be part of the Prospects1500 team and I’ll be covering the International League (Triple-A) this season. My plan is to write features of prospects across the league, conduct in-depth interviews, and also give updates with how the players have fare throughout the season. I also look forward to conversations with anyone about baseball and prospects on the rise.

I am based out of Indianapolis, IN and have lived here my entire life. Being fortunate enough to live in a Triple-A city, I have seen and continue to get to see some of the best players in the game at their most polished level prior to the big leagues.

I have been a baseball fan my entire life and some of my earliest memories are going to minor and major league baseball games with my father — a trend that we continue even to this day. I received a journalism degree from Indiana University after attending IUPUI. I worked for several years at a local newspaper before making a career change. However, I covered the Pittsburgh Pirates minor league teams for three seasons with Pirates Prospects. Baseball is a passion and hobby for me, rather than a career.
