My name is Isaiah Burrows and I’m entering my junior year at the University of Nevada, Reno. Over the years, I’ve grown a profound interest in covering Minor League Baseball and MiLB prospects dating back to my senior year in high school covering the Triple-A Reno Aces for Tahoe Onstage. Coming to the ballpark every day and writing a story was a dream come true, and I’ve only wanted to grow and improve since. I also cover the Arizona Diamondbacks farm system for SB Nation’s Az Snake Pit.
As a staff member for Prospects1500 covering the Arizona Diamondbacks, I’ve seen some of the system’s talent develop and I want to bring that same insight in each story I write. I’m excited to bring in-depth coverage on the Diamondbacks farm system (and some Seattle Mariners) for the foreseeable future. Minor League Baseball brings people together, and it’s that same passion for the sport we love that makes each day a little more special.
The Arizona Diamondbacks are building one of the best farm systems in all of baseball, and writing about the various prospects is an absolute blast. I want to write as many quality stories as I can, and I’m grateful Prospects1500 will give me the opportunity to do so. As a reader, you can expect up-to-date pieces, rankings, profiles and features on several prospects and other interesting angles. If you ever have a question, feel free to write a comment and I’ll be sure to respond!
I’ve been in Nevada all my life and grew up a San Francisco Giants fan. I don’t know what has made me write so much about the Arizona Diamondbacks, but I’m guessing it’s the wonderful coaches, players, staff and front office members within the Reno Aces organization that has kept me going for the past four years.
