Eli Fishman (Double-A Northeast)

My name is Eli Fishman, and I am very excited to join Prospects1500 as a Double-A Northeast League correspondent. I am 17 years old, and an incoming freshman at Ithaca College, where I will study sports media. I have three years of writing experience for sites such as Last Word On Baseball, In The Zone Sports, Jersey Sporting News, TAPinto, and my award winning high school paper, The Columbian. Additionally, I am the play-by-play voice of the Jersey Pilots, a summer collegiate baseball team based in Madison, NJ.

I grew up attending minor league baseball games, primarily watching the Somerset Patriots, Staten Island Yankees, and New Jersey Jackals. I decided to dip my toes into media, and received my first press pass when I was 11 years old, interviewing players for my YouTube channel. I have since covered over 150 MiLB games all over the northeast and interviewed over 500 players.

I also am a pitcher on my high school baseball team and enjoy golfing, collecting baseball cards, and watching football. As a pitcher myself, I am really into the pitching side of baseball, specifically pitch sequencing and pitch movement.

I’m very active on Twitter talking about Minor League Baseball, so make sure to give a follow: @elijfishman

Also, follow my Instagram account where I share videos and scouting reports on MLB Prospects: @the.farm.report
