Hey there Brewers fans! My name is David Gasper and I’ll be bringing you Brewers coverage for Prospects1500 going forward. Some of you might recognize me from Reviewing the Brew and I’ll still be writing there as well, but I’m excited to be able to take a deeper dive on the prospects in this Brewers farm system for Prospects1500.

I’ve always enjoyed looking at prospects coming up through the minor leagues. As a young Brewers fan growing up in the early 2000’s, that was pretty much all there was to look forward to. Watching the young core of Ryan Braun, Prince Fielder, Rickie Weeks, JJ Hardy, and Corey Hart come up through the system and take the Brewers to the playoffs was an absolute treasure and it further developed my love for the game of baseball.

The MLB Draft is one of my favorite times of the year. All of the young prospects, all of the potential and dreaming on upside makes it so intriguing for me. Seeing where these prospects go and how they can change the future of the organizations they go to is the best part, for me. Having spent last year working in the Northwoods League, I’m even more excited for the 2021 Draft to see where the freshman I saw in 2019 end up in the big leagues.

Although most places currently view the Brewers farm system as weak and thin on talent, I think it’s much better than that and I’m excited to uncover all the underrated and undervalued prospects here. You can follow me on Twitter at @dgasper24.
