Michael Parnell (Rockies)

Michael Parnell covers the Colorado Rockies for Prospects1500.

Growing up in North Carolina, his first favorite team was the 1957 World Series Champion Milwaukee Braves (Spahn, Burdette, Aaron, Matthews). After graduating with a journalism degree from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, he was a reporter and editor for newspapers in his home state, Arizona, Colorado and Florida (becoming a devoted fan of the Diamondbacks, Rockies and Rays in the process).

He is a longtime fantasy baseball participant, now focusing on dynasty teams in Diamond Duos and Dynasty Sports Empire leagues.

He recently retired and moved from Fernandina Beach, Fla., near Jacksonville, to Albuquerque, N.M., where he looks forward to following the AAA Isotopes as well as the El Paso Chihuahuas and other regional minor league teams.
