Prospects Traded at the 2026 Deadline

As with every trade deadline, many prospects were moved in deals. It may take a few years to decide who were the winners of the deals, but that’s in the future. The fun part is seeing who got moved where and for whom. For those in AL/NL only leagues, quite a few players switched leagues which means you can get a jump on the better prospects if they are not already owned.

Pitcher were in high demand and cost more in prospects than in previous seasons, but with so many teams looking to load up for the postseason run, it was definitely a seller’s market. The preseason ranks are, obviously, months old and most of these players will go up or down in our next organization prospect rankings.

A few interesting facts about the prospects traded this deadline –
-The sons of four former major leaguers were traded – Benny Agbayani, Eliezer Alfonzo, Mark McGwire and Jeff Kent
– A Hope and a Hoppe were traded, along with 3 Smiths, 2 Cruz’s, 2 Moores and 2 Santanas along with a Hill and a Gill Hill
– There was a biblical theme of players moved – an Angel, a Moises, a Jacob, a Josiah, a Jacob, a Mark, a Luke and a John. Why couldn’t the Phillies have traded Matthew Fisher? A River was also parted with.
