Hello, friends! My name is Tim Ryder. I’ve been blogging since 2017 and am very much looking forward to continuing that process here at Prospects1500!
I began my journey at Eyes on Isles, writing about the NHL’s New York Islanders, in early 2017. From there, I was named co-editor at Friars on Base, a fan site covering the San Diego Padres. Having lived out my formative years in the 1990s, the Pads became my second team early on due to a fella named Tony Gywnn.
In early 2018, the opportunity I’d been working for came my way. I went from being a breaking news contributor to a senior writer and news editor at MetsmerizedOnline.com within two years, contributing over 1,200 written articles and creating a Mets podcast, Simply Amazin’, over that span.
Since moving on from MMO in January 2021, I’ve founded The Apple, an independent site with direct media access to the club and an ever-growing, extremely loyal base. And, of course, Simply Amazin’ is still going strong. Happy to be here and thanks for following along!
