Kurt Fremion (Midwest League)

Greetings!

My name is Kurt Fremion and I’m excited to join the Prospects1500 team this season. I’ll be contributing content primarily dealing with the Midwest League, which will once again be chock-full of top tier prospects in 2018. In addition to providing news and updates about the prospects that create most of the buzz in the baseball world, I’ll also help introduce some of the lesser-known, but equally important members of all the MWL affiliates. I currently reside in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, home of the TinCaps, but I was born in Indianapolis and spent a good part of my formative years attending Indianapolis Indians games while they were the AAA affiliate of the Montreal Expos. During that time I was fortunate enough to catch Randy Johnson, Larry Walker, Delino Deshields and Andres Galarraga among others, cut their teeth in professional baseball.

I’ve been playing fantasy baseball for the better part of the last twenty some odd years, so I’m familiar with all formats from dynasty to the daily games and I’m always up for another league. Just don’t tell my wife. Anyway, when I’m not writing about or attending games, I’m helping my two boys prepare for their own prospective baseball endeavors so you can find me at the diamond at most hours of the day. Before I joined the team here at Prospects1500 I spent time contributing at various FanSided sites, Razzball, InThisLeague and RotoFanatics to name a few. If you ever feel compelled to talk baseball, chat me up and follow me at @Honcho1010.

I call Fort Wayne, Indiana home and spend more time than I'd like to admit cheering on the TinCaps every summer at Parkview Field. I'm infatuated with all things baseball and am currently on a quest with my family to attend a game at all 30 MLB ballparks within the next few years. Wish me luck. I'm a bit too analytical at times, in fact, you could say I have a rather unhealthy relationship with wOBA, which makes wRC+ insanely jealous. I'll be covering the Midwest League for Prospects1500.
