Jim Zele (Cleveland Guardians)

Hello all. My name is Jim Zele, and I’ll be taking over your Cleveland Indians coverage this year. You can follow me on Twitter @zbaseball86. I’m a native Clevelander, and I’ve been a Tribe fan for as long as I can remember. I lived through the dark ages of the late 80s and early 90s, and the glory days of the late 90s. I celebrated win #22, and had my heart broken with the rest of Cleveland in 1997 and 2016.

My love for Minor League Baseball began with two important events in 2003. First, I got my driver’s license. Second, the Lake County Captains began playing in Eastlake, Ohio. My brother and I attended more games than I can recall those first two seasons, and I’ve followed MiLB ever since.

Many years and many moves later, I found myself in Winston-Salem, NC. With easy access to the South Atlantic, Carolina and International Leagues, there weren’t many days I wasn’t at a ballpark the last two summers. In addition, I took up photography to capture these games. You can see my work on Twitter and Instagram @ZelePhotography and ZelePhotography.com.

Going forward, I’ll aim to bring you in-depth coverage on the Indians’ farm system. With the team’s focus on building a strong talent base, there will be plenty to look at. I’ve since moved to New York City, so I’ll be able to see players develop from the New York-Penn League all the way through to Cleveland. I’ll work to help you understand how the Indians develop their best players, and how this translates to fantasy success. Let’s Go Tribe!
