My name is Jared Perkins, and I am very excited to be joining the Prospects1500 team as the High-A Central correspondent. I am 30 years old and I have spent multiple years working in baseball. I spent 8 years with the Kansas City Royals as a clubhouse manager during minor league spring training, extended spring training, and the Arizona League during my high school and college days. Along with that, I handled baseball operations for both the Arizona State University and University of Nevada-Reno baseball teams focusing on baseball camps, recruiting, scouting, travel, and video.
I’ve transitioned to a career outside of baseball, but still love the game and enjoy writing about it. Outside of Prospects1500, I write about baseball for Next On Deck (@NoDSports) and the intersection of mental health, as well as aspects of leadership, for Major League University (@MajorUniversity).
I try to stay active on Twitter talking about different prospects across Minor League Baseball. You can follow me at @JaredCP1.
