Attention baseball card collectors and prospect followers. 2025 Bowman Baseball is almost here (set to release May 7th), and it’s annually one of the most popular baseball products of the year.
I’m going team by team to give you the information you’ll want to have handy, if you’re buying any boxes, or taking a chance at some teams or players in online breaks. These are the players with individual prospects cards, many of which are their 1st Bowman cards (indicated with *1st), and autographs. Each of these players has several different parallel cards which range from unnumbered, numbered to /499, to Superfractors numbered 1/1. There are other players/prospects in the product, not listed under each team name below, but they do not have an individual prospect card. They might be on an insert card like Bowman Scouts’ Top 100.
Even though this preview is focused on the prospects, I do want to mention the Bowman Red Rookie Redemption program that was just announced this week. There are 30 players with Rookie cards in the base set who will have a special red RC logo on a limited number of refractors throughout all 2025 Bowman products. Only 8 or 9 of them are actually eligible to win Rookie of the Year. The players who do win ROTY will have their red RC logo refractors redeemable for $100 Fanatics FanCash. Here’s the gimmick part to it. Gamble and hold those cards, if the players go on to win MVP or Cy Young, or eventually make it to the Hall of Fame, the redeemable value for FanCash increases.

— Topps (@Topps) April 29, 2025
Disclaimer : As the Topps checklist available for 2025 Bowman doesn’t specifically list which players have the 1st Bowman logo, I’ve done the research to identify which prospects “should” have the 1st logo as they haven’t had a previous Bowman card. There’s a chance that some could end up without that 1st logo designation, as has happened in the past with previous Bowman products.
Arizona Diamondbacks
Slade Caldwell *1st
Yu-Min Lin 1st*
Ricardo Yan *1st
Jansel Luis *1st
Bo Walker *1st
Druw Jones
Tommy Troy (retail paper auto only)
Caldwell, Arizona’s 2024 first round pick (29th overall), leads the way in Bowman for the Dbacks. Corbin Carroll and Jordan Lawlar have tough-to-pull retail autographs. The four Arizona 1st chrome autos feature Caldwell, Luis, Yan and Walker. Jones and Troy are retail autos.
Athletics
Will Simpson *1st
Dylan Fien *1st
Steven Echavarria *1st
Nate Nankil *1st
Nick Kurtz
Sam Stuhr (retail paper auto only)
I’ve been extremely high on Kurtz since I saw firsthand what he was doing in the Arizona Fall League. Now that he’s been called up to the majors, his 2024 Bowman 1st autos are skyrocketing in value. His 2025 Bowman is a second year prospect card, but his parallels and autos will still be sought after throughout the hobby. The Athletics could have sneaky value in breaks if you’re looking for a sleeper team, with Kurtz among their five chrome prospect autos, plus Jacob Wilson has some inserts and a Rockstar Rookies auto.
Atlanta Braves
Cam Caminiti
Luke Sinnard *1st
Didier Fuentes *1st
Jose Perdomo
Jhancarlos Lara *1st
To be honest, Atlanta might not be the most attractive option for collectors and/or breakers this year, but you never know. Fuentes, whom we like as the Braves #15 prospect right now, is the only 1st Bowman auto, although Sinnard and Lara do have parallels for their 1sts. If you’re digging deeper for valuable pulls, there are autos for Hurston Waldrep, Matt Olson, Ronald Acuna Jr, and Spencer Strider in retail, and Acuna also has one of the Bowman Anime cards. Spencer Schwellenbach has a rookie card in the base set, a retail-only auto, and a Rockstar Rookies insert and auto. Cam Caminiti is in the prospects base set, but is also featured Very Important Prospects insert set, with an auto as well.
Baltimore Orioles
Aron Estrada *1st
Samuel Basallo
Elvin Garcia *1st
Luis Almeyda (retail paper auto only)
Estrada, a 20-year-old infielder who’s hitting .300 at High-A, is the only 1st Bowman chrome auto you’ll find in the product. The best Orioles chases might be tough-to-pull autos in retail products from Coby Mayo, Jackson Holliday, Colton Cowser and Jordan Westburg. Mayo also has a chrome rookie auto on the checklist. Holliday also has a Hobby Stars insert and autograph.
Boston Red Sox
Kristian Campbell
Jhostynxon Garcia *1st
D’Angelo Ortiz *1st
Franklin Arias *1st
Conrad Cason *1st
Blake Aita (retail paper auto only)
Boston’s an exciting team in 2025 Bowman. Arias and The Password are nice 1st Bowman chases who have autos, and Big Papi’s son D’Angelo and the talented young Cason have their 1sts and autos as well. If you in essence win the lottery and pull the Ultimate Autograph Book card, that has 24 autos including Campbell’s and Roman Anthony‘s. Ceddanne Rafaela is included in the retail-only Rookies and Veterans auto checklist.
Chicago Cubs
Cade Horton
Jonathon Long *1st
Fernando Cruz
There’s not a lot of meat on the bone here. Long tore it up in the Arizona Fall League and is crushing it in Triple-A Iowa this season. His 1st Bowman chrome auto should be a nice card to pull, and I’d hold it and not sell immediately. Horton, one of their top pitching prospects, has an autograph in retail, and Kevin Alcantara has one of the chrome rookie autos. Matt Shaw has some cards in the product, including a Bowman Scouts Top 100 insert and a VIP insert and auto.
Chicago White Sox
Hagen Smith
Javier Mogollon *1st
Kyle Teel
Braden Montgomery
There’s some potential sneaky value here, if you’re looking for a lower valued team. Mogollon is the only prospect with his 1st Bowman. The 19-year-old currently in Single-A does have a chrome auto, as does Montgomery, his first with Chicago. Smith and Teel do have autographs in retail, and Thorpe also has a rookie autograph in retail.
Cincinnati Reds
Ichiro Cano Hernandez *1st
Esmith Pineda *1st
Naibel Mariano *1st
Sammy Stafura *1st
Chase Burns
Burns is the most prominent name here, although his 1st Bowman autos appeared in 2024 Bowman Draft. He is one of the five chrome prospect autos in this checklist, the others of which are 1sts. In addition to the prospect autos, Reds collectors might be chasing a Rhett Lowder chrome rookie auto, he also has two insert autos, and Elly De La Cruz has a Hobby Stars insert auto.
Cleveland Guardians
Jackson Humphries *1st
Chase Mobley *1st
Esteban Gonzalez *1st
Cameron Sullivan *1st
Jose Pirela *1st
Travis Bazzana
Luis Merejo *1st
Matt Wilkinson *1st
Alex Mooney *1st
Josh Hartle (retail paper auto only)
Cleveland boasts the most chrome autos in this product, with nine! The biggest name, Bazzana, is not a 1st though, even though it will most likely top the list in value. A lot of collectors and sellers often disregard pitchers, especially prospect pitchers, when it comes to cards, autos, as they traditionally don’t get valued as batters do. I’m not listening to anyone who says that when it comes to “Tugboat” Matt Wilkinson. He dominated Single/High-A in 2024 and is looking to follow that up with a good 2025, potentially getting to Double-A. Go get one of his 1st chrome autos! For those of you who open blaster boxes, you could get lucky and pull a Brayan Rocchio Rookies and Veterans paper auto.
Colorado Rockies
Ashly Andujar *1st
Robert Calaz
Charlie Condon *1st
Konner Eaton (retail paper auto only)
Condon is obviously the big prospect name for the Rockies here. Last year’s 3rd overall pick in the MLB Draft had his 1st Bowman held for 2025 Bowman and wasn’t included in 2024 Draft. Condon and Andujar have chrome 1st autos, and you might also see some insert autos of Charlie too. Brenton Doyle and Kris Bryant have tough to pull Veterans autos in retail only.
Detroit Tigers
Franyerber Montilla *1st
Josue Briceno *1st
Max Clark
Bryce Rainer
Jack Penney *1st
Kevin McGonigle *1st
McGonigle and Briceno are the two big chases for Detroit 1st Bowmans. Both prospects have 1st chrome autos, as do Montilla and Penney. Briceno might be one of the top hitters in the product as he’s coming off a 2024 Arizona Fall League MVP campaign. McGonigle entered this season as the No. 35 prospect on our preseason overall Top 105. He also has an All America Game auto which is a tough pull. Jackson Jobe has several different autos, and there’s a chance for a Trey Sweeney auto in retail.
Houston Astros
Walker Janek *1st
Jancel Villarroel *1st
Cam Smith
Anderson Brito *1st
I like Houston as a potential sleeper in 2025 Bowman. Smith is the biggest name, although this is his second card. His first came in 2024 Draft as a Chicago Cub. The Astros outfielder, who broke camp with the MLB club, has a chrome prospect auto, as do Janek (2024 1st round selection) and Villarroel, both of which are 1sts. Even as catcher, I think Janek’s 1st chome auto could be one of the top 10-15 chases. Shay Whitcomb has a base RC and has one of the tough-to-pull chrome rookie autos.
Kansas City Royals
Asbel Gonzalez *1st
Blake Wolters *1st
Jac Caglianone
Hyungchan Um *1st
Jhonayker Ugarte *1st
Javier Vaz (auto only)
Cags is still the big name for the Royals and he does have autos in 2025, but this is his 2nd year card. His 1st was in 2024 Draft. There is one dual auto in this new product which has Caglianone and Bobby Witt, Jr. Um and Ugarte are the other decent names to chase for 1st autos, and Vaz is interesting with no base card, just an auto-only. Witt also has a Hobby Stars insert auto and veteran Seth Lugo has a retail only auto.
Los Angeles Angels
Hayden Alvarez *1st
Cole Fontenelle *1st
George Klassen *1st
Kevyn Castillo *1st
Christian Moore
Lucas Ramirez *1st
Peyton Olejnik (retail paper auto only)
The Angels could be interesting, or they could be a bunch of autos that not many collectors care about. As is the same with some other teams, their best prospect featured here, Christian Moore, was featured for the first time in 2024 Bowman Draft. His cards and autos are his second year’s. There are five other prospects with their 1st Bowman cards and autos, including Klassen, their No. 3 prospect. Their No. 2 prospect, Caden Dana, is featured in the Rookie of the Year Favorites insert set and has an auto. Lastly, don’t look now, but 2011 Topps Update RC darling Mike Trout is card #1 in the base set, with parallels, and has cards in the Anime and Hobby Stars insert sets, including a Hobby Stars autograph card.
Los Angeles Dodgers
Roki Sasaki (rookie card)
Zyhir Hope
Victor Rodrigues *1st
Hyun-Seok Jang *1st
Eduardo Quintero *1st
Jesus Tillero *1st
Emil Morales
Kellon Lindsey
Jakob Wright *1st
Chris Campos (retail paper auto only)
Los Angeles is likely to be the most expensive team in breaks due to a loaded checklist, including several 1st Bowmans, Hope, a top prospect who’s shot up rankings, and Sasaki, the top international signing from this past winter. Sasaki’s Bowman rookie card is paper, and his RC chrome auto will be a very difficult pull. Hope’s first Bowman card was in 2024 Bowman Draft but didn’t have the 1st logo. This product will have his first autographs. Don’t sleep on Quintero either! Five chrome prospect autos and a couple of retail paper autos make the Dodgers a very attractive team in this year’s set. Even Andy Pages and Tommy Edman have retail autos. Sasaki and Shohei Ohtani are featured in the popular Bowman Anime insert set, and both of them have Japanese Kanji variations.
Miami Marlins
Fabian Lopez *1st
Thomas White *1st
PJ Morlando *1st
A couple of strong names carry the checklist for Miami, but there’s not a lot of excitement after that. Morlando was the Marlins’ 1st round pick last year (16th overall) and this is his 1st Bowman and auto. White, arguably the top pitching prospect in the release, also lands his first Bowman cards and autographs. Xavier Edwards does have a retail paper auto, and Connor Norby is in the Rockstar Rookies auto checklist.
Milwaukee Brewers
Bishop Letson *1st
Yophery Rodriguez *1st
Luis Pena *1st
Jesus Made *1st
Josh Knoth *1st
Braylon Payne
Jadyn Fielder (auto only)
Chandler Welch (retail paper auto only)
Brewers are one of the top chases/teams in 2025 Bowman. Four chrome prospect autos led by Made, Pena and Rodriguez (now with the Red Sox) and Fielder. Made could very well be the TOP prospect chase in the entire product, especially while he’s killing it at Single-A Carolina right now, with a promotion to High-A likely coming soon. Tyler Black has an auto in retail products, as does Welch. One could also get lucky and hit a Jackson Chourio Hobby Stars insert auto.
Minnesota Twins
Walker Jenkins
Khadim Diaw *1st
Payton Eeles *1st
Andrew Morris *1st
Caden Kendle *1st
Cory Lewis *1st
Kyle DeBarge *1st
Walker is one of the top overall prospects (#2 on our preseason Top 105), and he has a couple of autos. If you’re looking for a team that’s priced around 3% of the product’s cost, Minnesota could be a nice grab for you in breaks, as they boast seven chome autos, six of which are 1st Bowman autos. In addition to Jenkins, DeBarge is a solid name, whom the Twins drafted at the end of the first round last year. Eeles, who broke out in 2024, had offseason knee surgery and will miss a chunk of 2025, but should be back at Triple-A at some point, and his 1st chrome auto might be a great candidate to buy low on.
New York Mets
Jonah Tong *1st
Carson Benge
Jeremy Rodriguez (retail paper auto only)
You could do worse than taking the Mets for 1.25% of the product cost in a break. That’s what I have them at in my upcoming Bowman breaks anyway. Tong is the only prospect with a 1st chrome auto, Rodriguez has a retail only paper auto. Benge is the best prospect name but his 1st Bowmans came in 2024 Draft this past winter. The potential fun chases might be for Luisangel Acuna, who has rookie autos sprinkled throughout the product in several subsets. If you like to open blasters and retail boxes, then you could find autos from Acuna, J.D. Martinez, Brett Baty and Mark Vientos.
New York Yankees
Engelth Urena *1st
Rafael Flores *1st
Chase Hampton *1st
Richard Matic *1st
Edgleen Perez *1st
This is not an exciting Yankees class for a new Bowman product, unless you’re a big fan of prospect catchers. Four of the five prospects here have autos, with Hampton being the one who doesn’t. They are all 1st Bowmans so diehard Yankees prospect collectors might be happy to pull one. Jasson Dominguez and Oswald Peraza are featured in the retail only Rookies and Vets auto subset.
Philadelphia Phillies
Wen-Hui Pan *1st
Aidan Miller
Aroon Escobar *1st
Andrew Painter
Mick Abel (retail paper auto only)
The Phillies are likely to be one of the less expensive teams in hobby breaks, and you might be able to get a deal and snag a couple exciting pulls. Bryce Harper does have one of the Bowman Anime cards. Abel seems to have been around forever and has a retail only paper auto, as does Painter. No. 15 Philadelphia prospect Escobar is a nice sleeper here and probably the one 1st chrome auto that we’ll want to keep an eye on.
Pittsburgh Pirates
Mitch Jebb *1st
Konnor Griffin
Tsung-Che Cheng *1st
Pittsburgh in 2025 Bowman could be a hit or miss, so take your chances and don’t expect a lot if you’re taking them in a break. All three prospects Jebb, Griffin and Cheng have chrome autos. Griffin’s isn’t a 1st since his was in 2024 Draft. For those hoping for a lottery ticket, Jared Jones has an All America Game auto, Paul Skenes is in the base set with parallels, and the 2024 Rookie of the Year also has a Hobby Stars insert card, parallels and autograph. Anyone looking for a nice Nick Yorke base parallel or Rookie of the Year insert?
San Diego Padres
Romeo Sanabria *1st
Ismael Javier *1st
Leo De Vries
Humberto Cruz *1st
Cobb Hightower *1st
Welcome to the San Diego Padres cards in 2025 Bowman, powered by Leodalis De Vries. His 1st chromes and autos were found in 2024 Bowman Chrome, so these are his second year cards, which will still be highly sought after as he’s been putting up numbers to back the hype. Cruz and Hightower are the only other chrome prospect autos in addition to De Vries. Hightower could be a sleeper for nice value (ranked 12th in our Padres Top 50), although Cruz is ranked 7th but being the pitcher doesn’t help him in #thehobby. I’m a fan of Sanabria’s and was impressed when I saw him in the AFL, but he’s not included in the auto checklist.
San Francisco Giants
James Tibbs III
Jacob Bresnahan *1st
Onil Perez *1st
Jhonny Level *1st
This is clearly not one of the strongest team checklists in 2025 Bowman. Level might be the best name to chase here, as it’s his 1st Bowman card and autograph, but proceed cautiously. He’s an 18-year-old who debuted in 2024 in the Dominican Summer League. Tibbs was one of my favorites in 2024 Draft with his 1st Bowman and autos, and he’s featured in the prospect set here with parallels, but no autograph. The only two autographs for the Giants are Level and Bresnahan. Pretty thin unfortunately for San Francisco fans.
Seattle Mariners
Dawel Joseph
Colt Emerson
Lazaro Montes
Jared Sundstrom *1st
Grant Knipp (retail paper auto only)
I’m not sure how much I can write about the Mariners in this product. Sundstrom is the only prospect with his 1st Bowman card and autograph. Emerson and Montes are top prospects who have been in several other Bowman products over the last couple of years. Emerson does have an auto in the VIP insert set. Do you want to chase an Ichiro Anime or Kanji variations?
St. Louis Cardinals
JJ Wetherholt *1st
Quinn Mathews *1st
Sammy Hernandez *1st
Zack Showalter *1st
Tink Hence
Chen-Wei Lin *1st
Wetherholt, last year’s 7th overall pick, and Mathews, the 2024 Minor League Pitcher of the Year, are the top Cards chases in this year’s product. Both have their first chrome autos. Thomas Saggese has a couple of rookie insert autos possible to pull, and Steve Carlton is the one Retrofractor autograph in 2025 Bowman.
Tampa Bay Rays
Gregory Barrios *1st
Owen Wild *1st
Gary Gill Hill *1st
Jack Lines *1st
Aidan Smith
Émilien Pitre *1st
Santiago Suarez *1st
Brody Hopkins (auto only)
Mike Vasil (auto only)
For me, there isn’t a big name prospect that someone will want to chase here. Smith is very good, but had his 1st Bowmans and autos in 2024 Chrome. Tampa Bay has six chrome prospect autos in this checklist, two of which (Hopkins and Vasil) are autos only, so you won’t find them in the regular set checklist.
Texas Rangers
Esteban Mejia *1st
David Ortiz Jr. *1st
Paulino Santana
Jesus Lopez *1st
Marcos Torres *1st
Cody Freeman *1st
Winston Santos *1st
Alejandro Rosario *1st
Malcolm Moore *1st
Sebastian Walcott
Pablo Guerrero
Yeremi Cabrera *1st
David Hagaman (retail paper auto only)
Garrett Horn (retail paper auto only)
The Rangers have a very intriguing checklist in this product, including seven chrome prospect autos, one of which is top prospect Walcott’s, although not his 1st. According to players who have already had their first Bowman cards, there are nine prospects here who haven’t, plus a couple of other retail auto-only guys who should be 1sts as well. If you don’t want to listen to the “experts” who don’t value pitchers, target Rosario and Santos. They are both on the rise in the Texas pipeline. Cabrera is a nice sleeper to chase for his first Bowman auto. Jack Leiter does have an All America Game auto, plus Evan Carter, Josh Jung and Kumar Rocker have autos in the retail Rookie and Veterans checklist. Rocker also has a very tough chrome RC auto and some insert autos too.
Toronto Blue Jays
Sean Keys *1st
Charles McAdoo *1st
Not the largest team checklist, huh? McAdoo has shown some flashes of brilliance in the minors. He had a really good 2024 across High/Double-A, but is struggling at AA Manchester this season. If you think he’s going to progress, grab one of his 1st chrome autos in this new product. Keys, Toronto’s 4th round pick last summer, also has his 1st Bowmans but no autos here. He does have autos in 2024 Panini’s Prospect Edition if you’re interested. For the tougher and more challenging pulls, Jake Bloss and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. do have autos in retail products, and Vlad Jr. is in the Anime set. Orelvis Martinez has a rookie card and parallels in the base set.
Washington Nationals
Carlos Tavares *1st
Seaver King
Caleb Lomavita *1st
The biggest names in the product for Washington are James Wood and Dylan Crews, who are both featured with rookie cards (and parallels) in the base set and several insert sets, and their autos will be very tough pulls. I really like Travis Sykora, but his only card in 2025 Bowman is an All America Game auto. Lomavita has the one Nationals 1st chrome prospect auto.
I’ll finish off this column with a shameless plug for my own baseball card breaks, with several 2025 Bowman breaks happening soon. I’m setting up a big Player Auction break with a couple of blaster box cases (80 boxes), potentially a Pick Your Player break, and some Pick Your Team breaks as well. Follow me on Twitter @Scotty_Ballgame, and join my FREE hobby community Discord where I post all of my breaks. The Bowman Player Auction will be on my #ScottyBallgameBreaks ProBoards site.
